About Us
1946
Our story begins in 1946. The Club Diner started out on wheels and was horse-drawn to local businesses and factories in the area. The original building was a railroad Ward & Dickinson car that was repurposed into a diner by Ralph and Edna Weed.

1964
In 1964, a second-hand diner from Hazelton, Pennsylvania was purchased. The diner was towed back to Bellmawr New Jersey. The diner sat right along the sidewalk that runs parallel to the Black Horse Pike.

Three generations of the Weeds family worked at the diner over the next half a century. In 1972, the original club car was replaced, and a new front was added to the diner, custom made by Kullman Manufacturing. The same main entrance that you see today as the "red room" with the front counter.
Later on, the Somerdale Diner was purchased as an addition to make room for more dining. What you see today as the "blue room". The original, old train car building, was sold and moved to Paulsboro New Jersey.

The new Club, topped with pink neon, cursive, roof sign, was a big windowed stainless steel jewel of 1960-era exaggerated modernity. The new building remained as is until 2006.
2006
In 2006, renovations began. The diner was expanded in seating capacity, the decor was refreshed and a new menu was added. In the fall of 2006, The Club Diner celebrated its 60th anniversary with an antique car show and live music.
2020
In 2020, we celebrated a huge mile stone, celebrating 20 years of ownership
